My favorite Quote

"One person's craziness is another person's reality."
                                                                        - Tim Burton

First of all, let me just say that I idolize Tim Burton and all of his work. He is an astounding man and I adore all of his work. Okay so this is one of my favorite quotes from Tim Burton. At first when I saw this quote, it didn't make any sense to me at all. But over time I finally understood what this quote was trying to say. Let me start off with this, I love reading and writing my own stories. That's my favorite thing to do. Especially creating characters and their personalities and where the setting would be and etc. Tim Burton also creates his own characters and personalities as well. So what I'm trying to say here is that you have your own craziness inside your mind. Or in other words, ideas! Creativity! And your ideas can create something, like characters in your mind. How they would behave and what place they live. I guess this would make sense to people who like to write or create characters of their own. It makes sense to me, you just got to think hard to figure out what it really means. If you make your own characters for your stories, you also create their world they live in. Your craziness is your own ideas. 'Another person's' mean your own characters that you create from your own mind.

Future trip

I never really traveled anywhere. But one place I want to visit Is Japan. Japan always interested me and I always wanted to visit. They way they have advanced in their technology is quite incredible. And that they actually have robots doing jobs just like people is pretty cool. But if I had to choose to stay somewhere in Japan it would be Tokyo. Just by looking at photos of Tokyo I realized that Japan is a place I really want to travel. I really hope to go there sometime in the near future.

Summer Reading

47 by Walter Mosley is about a young slave boy named Forty-Seven, who meets Tall John. A magical healer who has come for Forty-seven. John and Forty-Seven must escape the plantation but they have to battle the Wall in order to do so.

Forty-Seven is dealing with external problems throughout the book. For example he has problems with slave number Eighty-four. A slave Forty-Seven is working with in the fields. On page 31 it says, "She replied by pinching my arm till it hurt terribly and repeated the words, pulling a cotton ball and pushing it into her big burlap sack. I learned right away to watch her gestures as she spoke. That way I could keep from getting pinched. As it was the place she tweaked hurt for over a week.". This means that Forty-Seven did have problems with Eighty-four while working. Another example is when Forty-Seven got punished and got whipped 12 times because of Tall John standing up to Forty-Seven's master and calling him by his name.

10 Years

Where do I see myself in ten years? Well I always wanted to be an author. I remember being asked a similar question when I was little. What I always wanted to be or grow up as. But I never thought that I wanted to be an author. It never crossed my mind. I am writing stories as to improve my writing skills. So far I have 32 stories in progress. Only 9 stories are complete but I'm still working on the others. I really try to pay attention in LA classes I've had in order to learn something to improve my writing skills. To be honest all I ever wanted to be was an artist. But I have no talent in drawing. The only way I was able to express my creative ideas were through writing. So far my dream goal is to have a story of my own published. I don't intend to become a famous author but I wanted my stories to be read and appreciated. Writing a story takes work and time, and a lot of money to get published. I know that it won't be that easy to get published. I know that my stories will get rejected, but I have patience to see my story published and sold in all bookstores everywhere.
